An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly that made the world community smile.
A representative from India began: "Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Rishi Kashyap of Kashmir, after whom Kashmir is named".
When he struck a rock and it brought forth water, he thought, "What a good opportunity to have a bath."
He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water.
When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Pakistani had stolen them.
The Pakistani representative jumped up furiously and shouted, "What are you talking about? The Pakistanis weren't there then."
The Indian representative smiled and said, "And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech."
And they say Kashmir belongs to them...
.
.
.
Once I was discussing with one of my Indian friend. He told "In 1947, at the time of partition, land was divided according to the hindu-muslim population ratio. Now pakistan and old east-bengal(current bangladesh) were two large land-portions where muslim population was far more than hindus. So these two portions jointly became pakistan. There were no issues over Jammu & Kashmir. For a while, lets assume there was some problem with J&k. The thing was that, some of the states were left free to whom with they will like to go, and unfortunately (for pakistan) J&K chose to go with India. Thats the whole story, but from that 1947 till this 2010, pakistan is not willing to accept the sole truth, it was entirely J&K's decision.
How can one save ostriches, if instead of watching through open eyes, they wanna believe the hunters left, with eyes closed. May GOD help them.

Patriotism ???
The word "Patriotism" is linked to country, one should be loyal to and should love his country.
I do not understand why it should be country only? why not the state, I belong to? or the city? or the lane? Why should be its always country? It could have been included a greater region say Continent or why not whole Earth? But its always country. We say don't distinguish on basis of language, colour, religion and regions or states, but there seems no harm when fighting for country. I ask, why? Is that their blood not red? or they don't inhale oxygen and exhale CO2?

Do not disclose
Dear Friends
I know some of you must have identified me, but its my humble request to you all, please do not reveal my identity to others, as I don't wish to. I made this blog so that I can express myself freely without boundations and hesitations. I can discuss issues without letting anyone know, who am I.
Help me keeping this secret, a secret.

Euthanasia - The fight for dignity in death
When life becomes unbearable because of terminal illness or chronic disease, isn't euthanasia a logical option for the person who suffers? Every person is entitled to dignity in death. So, isn't it time to review our laws?
Life is a miracle that never ceases to fascinate doctors, scientists and researchers alike. In the same breath one must add that the line between life and death is rather thin.Where there is life, death is inevitable, though the manner and time of death are often not in human hands.
In recent times , when people are racked by unbearable pain from a terminal illness or when the prognosis looks extremely bleak or day-to-day care becomes a huge burden, should not be allowed to end his/her life?
Isn't this ethical? Should it be made legal?
Netherlands was amongst first of Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland and Thailand legalising assisting suicide in 2002.
The conditions to be met were :
1. The disease is incurable
2. The patient's suffering is unbearable
3. Patient's condition is terminal
4. Patient requests death
